Sky Pond Trail, located in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, is one of my favorite winter hikes to date. The hike was challenging, but the breathtaking views throughout the adventure make it worth the effort. Quandary Peak Winter Sunrise Summit
After research and persuasion, we decided on a summit attempt of Quandary Peak via the East Ridge on Leap Day 2020. To up the ante, we planned to ascend our first winter 14er in the dark in order to reach the summit by sunrise.

Black Lake Hike, Rocky Mountain National Park, November 2019
Hiked the Glacier Gorge trail to Black Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, November 16th, 2019. Started at roughly 5:00 am at the Glacier Gorge Junction Trailhead. The trail was packed down full of snow, which made it doable with micro-spikes on, snow shoes were not necessary on this day.
Mt. Morrison South Ridge Trail Hike
Completed the Mt. Morrison South Ridge Trail Hike, located in Morrison, Colorado, mid November of 2019. At just under 2 mile one way to the summit of Mt. Morrison, with an elevation gain of over 1,900′, this hike is a butt burner, especially in the snow.

The Mile High Tree opened, and lit up to the public on 11/30/2019.
